Cox & Kings has collaborated with Thiksey Cultural and Welfare Society to preserve and promote the precious culture of Tibetan Buddhism, particularly through the work of Thiksey Monastery in Ladakh. In order to restore the damaged edifices of historical and cultural importance, Cox & Kings has sponsored the repair work of the age-old Prayer Hall and provided stability to the strength of the monastery. The monastery has a library too of old and new holy scripts. To keep these scripts away from dust, there was a need to built new and lasting shelves. We have invested in preserving these old scripts by building the required shelves. We also helped build additional rooms in the hostel for the students coming to learn in the Lamdon Model School Thiksey. LMS Thiksey hall, which is used for multiple occasions, also required urgent attention for its flooring, which was again taken up by Cox & Kings Foundation.
